No. 5 Corban stumps Raiders

SALEM – The No. 5-ranked Corban volleyball team slowed down Southern Oregon in a 25-12, 25-18, 25-13 Cascade Conference sweep on Friday night at the C.E. Jeffers Center.

Emma Bischoff put down 13 kills on 21 attempts and had 10 digs for the Warriors (22-4 overall, 16-3 CCC) as they attacked at an efficient .390 team average.

With one match remaining on the regular-season schedule, the loss left the Raiders (13-13, 10-9) in a tie for sixth place with Walla Walla (Wash.). The teams are now guaranteed to meet in Tuesday’s play-in round of the CCC Tournament, but the Wolves own the head-to-head tiebreaker. For the Raiders to get the No. 6 seed and homecourt advantage, they’ll need a win Saturday at No. 20 Bushnell and for Walla Walla to lose on Sunday at No. 1 Eastern Oregon…
