BALTIMORE, MD—The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) this week announced a major new initiative, the Ride Together Rewards: Baltimore Transit Incentives Program, designed to encourage local commuters and employers to switch from driving to public transit. The program officially launches on November 1 and features free transit passes for new riders and cash incentives for area businesses.
The expanded initiative aims to ease traffic congestion across the Baltimore region and provide more affordable, sustainable travel options, particularly as the state works to rebuild the Francis Scott Key Bridge.
