BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Leaders at EPIC Alternative Elementary have announced the school will be having a remote learning day on Monday, Nov. 10 after a gas leak was discovered outside the school on Friday, Nov. 7.
Principal Aulundria Grace shared the announcement on Facebook Friday afternoon.
“Spire Energy responded quickly and immediately turned off the gas. The gas leak didn’t impact the wellbeing of our students and staff,” wrote Grace.
Grace said the EPIC building will be closed out of an abundance of caution and to allow further inspections. Students will instead attend class through Zoom…
