Lexington group against gun violence lays out new plans in response to recent shootings

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Members of ONE Lexington posted on social media over the weekend in the wake of Friday’s shooting on Centre Parkway that left one person dead and another arrested.

The group posted on social media just before 7 p.m. on Nov. 9 that short-term efforts would be carried out to keep one another safe, while some systemic barriers to the overall quality of life for community members need to be addressed.

Leaders of ONE Lexington said several events and volunteer-driven programs would be enacted to show unity in the community and promote safety for families.
