Home Depot donates $5,300 in supplies to Vero Beach Rotary’s disaster aid trailer

VERO BEACH — The local Home Depot store in Vero Beach donated $5,300 worth of supplies this past week to help restock a disaster aid trailer operated by the Sunrise Rotary Club of Vero Beach.

The trailer is part of a network of similar units positioned across the country and around the world, designed to provide rapid response to natural disasters. Each trailer is equipped with essential items like tarps, chain saws, water, cots and other tools needed for cleanup efforts in the immediate aftermath of events such as floods, fires or landslides.

Rotary officials said the trailers assist residents and businesses in removing water damage, debris and other hazards during the critical weeks following a disaster.
