Man killed, another injured in Roanoke gas station shooting, investigation underway

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – The Roanoke Police Department is investigating a homicide by gunfire that occurred at a gas station.

According to officials, on Sunday, November 9, at 11:16 a.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting at a gas station parking lot in the 2500 block of Shenandoah Avenue Northwest.

Officers say when they arrived, they located a man with gunshot wound injuries and pronounced him dead at the scene. A second man with gunshot wound injuries was reportedly located in the 600 block of Milton Street Northwest.

Officials say the preliminary investigation determined he was injured during the same incident. At this time, officers say he is considered a person of interest and is in custody at a local hospital receiving treatment for non-life-threatening injuries…
