SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A suspect is custody after police responded to reports of a vehicle break-in and disturbance near St. Joseph Cathedral in downtown San Diego on Sunday morning, authorities said.

According to the San Diego Police Department, officers were called to the area of Beech Street and 4th Avenue around 8:53 a.m. after receiving reports that a man was breaking into a vehicle and threatening people with golf clubs.
When officers arrived, they detained the suspect, who is being held on suspicion of brandishing a firearm. Police said it still unclear whether the offense will be classified as a felony or misdemeanor. The suspect’s identity was not immediately released.
During the incident, the suspect reportedly broke a window at St. Joseph Cathedral, located near the scene. SDPD said they are evaluating whether there are any victims or injuries, but none have been confirmed as of Sunday morning…
