8 local businesses work to feed Rochester community amid government shutdown

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The government shutdown continues, with Sunday marking 40 days, during which federal employees have gone without a paycheck, and families are no longer receiving renewed SNAP benefits. Support, however, continues in Rochester.

At a time when much of the country is worried about where their next meal will come from, the People’s Choice Kitchen partnered up with several other organizations to help feed the community and share the message that here in Rochester, residents stand up for one another.
