(KRON) — A 21-year-old woman from Santa Rosa allegedly led police on a high-speed chase on Highway 101 Saturday after a Petaluma Police Department officer attempted to pull her over for speeding.
The Petaluma officer initially stopped Aleah Trail for speeding on the northbound side of Highway 101, north of the East Washington Street overpass, at 10:02 a.m. However, she sped away moments later.
“After a brief interaction between Traill and the officer, she abruptly fled the scene, accelerating at a high rate of speed,” Petaluma PD said. “The officer returned to his patrol vehicle, and a vehicle pursuit ensued.”
