ISU to build new Pet Cancer Clinic for companion animals

Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine is moving forward with a $7.5 million expansion to its Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center (LVMC): the ISU Pet Cancer Clinic, a new facility designed to enhance cancer treatment, research and education for companion animals across the Midwest.

The project, slated to break ground in January 2026, is expected to open by early 2027 and will expand Iowa State’s capacity to care for pets battling cancer while training the next generation of veterinary oncologists, according to the ISU College of Veterinary Medicine.
