DC police investigate 3 fatal shootings within six hours on Saturday

WASHINGTON (7News) — D.C. police are investigating a series of fatal shootings that occurred within a six-hour span on Saturday, leaving three people dead.

The first incident took place at approximately 2:56 p.m. when officers responded to the 1900 block of C Street SE. They found a 17-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. Despite efforts by EMS, the teen was pronounced dead at the hospital. Homicide detectives are leading the investigation, but there is no usable lookout information at this time.

Later, at around 6:52 p.m., officers were called to a residence in the 700 block of Newton Place NW. Inside, they discovered a teenage male with a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene after lifesaving measures failed.
