A cool start this morning from the 30s and 40s. There will be a few passing clouds early.
We will keep sunshine in place despite the approach of a strong cold front, which will bring gusty conditions in for the rest of Saturday.
Gusts in northwest Kansas may approach 45 MPH at times.
The cold air will gradually build through the day. We try to reach the upper 50s to low 60s before the temperature plunges tonight.
Expecting to be near freezing Sunday morning with a biting wind chill in the teens and 20s.
Staying gusty Sunday with highs only climbing to the 40s.
The temperatures bottom out Monday morning with a hard freeze expected, lows in the 20s with single digit wind chill in some places.
A Freeze Watch covers the Oklahoma side of the state line for Sunday night and Monday morning.
We recover quickly from there, with 60s and 70s returning by Tuesday.
Dry air rules the roost, and will continue to hamper rain chances. At least through the middle of the month, no significant opportunities for moisture are expected.
