CALDWELL, Idaho – The Eagles finished their weekend at the Taco Bell Shootout against a tough Rocky Mountain College team. Despite a hard-fought battle and strong second half, the Eagles fell just short to the Battlin’ Bears, 81-75.
The first half showed both teams taking the lead at times with no team distancing themselves by a large margin. With four minutes to go in the half, Rocky Mountain began to maintain their lead and the Eagles could not catch up. They went into the half down by six.
After a quick two baskets from Rocky, the Eagles pushed back and were able to close the gap and grab the lead. But the Battlin’ Bears came back and found themselves with a comfortable lead. While the Eagles continued to fight and gain some momentum, Rocky held them off and took home the victory…
