Storm Center PM Update: Mainly Quiet Week on the Way

SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — Chilly temperatures and breezy conditions have given much of the region a good taste of what’s to come as winter gets ever closer to officially starting.

With that said, though, the core of cold air is on the way out as we head into the start of the new work week. West River locations get in on the warmer air a day ahead of their East River counterparts, but it’s still on the way all the same. If you’re East River, you’ll want to make sure to plan accordingly.

Overnight on Monday, a weak front will push through KELOLAND and spark a few isolated rain showers. Overall, though, it’s a mainly quiet night.

Temperatures do eventually rebound for everyone just in time for Veterans Day, complete with more sunshine to go with it. It’ll be a bit breezy, though, so keep this in mind with any outdoor ceremonies.

We’ll continue the warm-up through the rest of the week, as 60s return by Friday and even a few 70s may come along for western KELOLAND.

By the weekend, we’ll start to slip backward into the 50s and 40s as cloud cover increases with a few low-end chances for rain on the way. Odds for above average temperatures hold steady into late November.
