‘We become one’: Jingle dress dance heals and honors heritage at Northern Quest

SPOKANE, Wash. — At Northern Quest Casino, typical bells and whistles could be heard from wall to wall.

But inside the Pend Oreille Pavilion, spectators listened to different bells as dancers from across Indian country compete in the Northern Quest Dance Championships.
