FIRST ALERT FORECAST – Major pattern change potential

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – A touch warmer today, peaking at 87. Winds have picked up & will stay elevated through tonight & mid-day tomorrow. Winds will calm down by tomorrow afternoon. The backdoor cold front triggering the wind is cooling areas out east through tomorrow. A Freeze Watch has just been issued for the eastern High Valleys (Benson, Willcox, Safford, Douglas, etc.) late Monday night through Tuesday morning. High temps hang in the mid-80s tomorrow through Thursday.

Continuing to watch for a system to move through Friday & Saturday. It’s now looking like the system will arrive a bit earlier, giving Friday the best chance for scattered showers. This system will also bring about gusty winds on Friday & much cooler temps down to the 60s by next weekend. It could be the start of a much cooler & wetter stretch with more systems possibly impacting the region next week.
