Officers wrap up final day of Tip a cop fundraiser across Oʻahu

HONOLULU (KHON2) – Today, Nov.9, is the last day to Tip A Cop at participating restaurants across Oʻahu, as off-duty and volunteer law enforcement officers wrap up their weekend of serving meals to raise money for Special Olympics Hawaiʻi.

Since Friday, Nov. 7, officers have been stepping away from their regular duties and into California Pizza Kitchen and Goma Tei restaurants, greeting guests, delivering food, and bussing tables while collecting donations for local athletes with intellectual disabilities.

‘Tip A Cop’ collects tips for Special Olympics Hawaii for 2025

All funds raised help support Special Olympics Hawaiʻi’s year-round sports, health, and leadership programs for more than 3,000 athletes statewide.

Today’s final Tip A Cop shifts are taking place at:

  • California Pizza Kitchen – Ka Makana Aliʻi, Kahala Mall, Kailua Town Center & Pearlridge Center: 11 a.m.–3 p.m. & 5 p.m.–9 p.m.
  • Goma Tei – Pearlridge Center: 11 a.m.–3 p.m. & 5 p.m.–9 p.m.
