Veterans Day is approaching, and for the seventh consecutive year, the Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) honor all U.S. military veterans, active-duty military, and members of the National Guard and Reserves by offering them free transit rides on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025.
Regular schedules will be in effect for the holiday, and free rides will be available across the agency’s many modes of transit, including the Local Bus, Metro Subway, Light Rail, MARC Train, Commuter Bus and Mobility services.
“Veterans and service members are an important part of our community,” said Holly Arnold, Maryland Transit Administrator. “Offering complimentary transit trips is one way we can show our appreciation and make it easier for them to get where they need to go on this special day.”…
