Two-vehicle crash in DeKalb County blamed on icy conditions

DEKLAB COUNTY, IND (WANE) A two-vehicle crash early Monday morning sent one driver to the hospital with injuries, according to the Dekalb County Sheriff’s office.The accident occurred at approximately 6:32 a.m at the intersection of County Road 68 and County Road 427. Officials reported that icy road conditions played a role in the crash.

According to authorities, one vehicle was traveling north on CR 427 and attempted to turn right onto CR 68. The car began to slide on the icy surface and collided with the second vehicle that had been stopped at the stop sign.The driver of the vehicle that was stopped reported arm pain and was transported to a local hospital by Parkview EMS. No other injuries were reported. One vehicle was totaled, and the other sustained an estimated $10,000 in damage.
