Cumberland County mom charged with murder after toddler ODs from fentanyl

A 27-year-old woman has been charged with murder more than two years after her 2-year-old daughter died from fentanyl toxicity in her Carlisle home, according to county detectives.

Annjalee Nunez, of Carlisle, was charged Wednesday with third degree murder, endangering the welfare of children and involuntary manslaughter, according to court documents filed by the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office. As of Monday, she had not been arrested.

Nunez called 911 about 5 a.m. Jan. 10, 2023 to her apartment in the 100 block of North Hanover Street, after she woke up and then realized her daughter, Ivory Nunez, was in the same position as when she went to sleep.
