Local Leader Jasinda Muhammad Receives Statewide HR Achievement Award for Service to California Employees

Jasinda Muhammad, Deputy Director of Human Resources for California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS), received the 2025 CalHR Robert L. Negri Human Resources Achievement Award. The award was presented at the CalHR Conference in Sacramento. It recognizes leadership, innovation, and service in human resources within California state government.

Muhammad has over 30 years of state service, including 12 years in executive roles. She manages a $49 million budget and leads a team of about 400 staff who support more than 15,000 employees statewide.

Under her direction, CCHCS HR organized large hiring events that drew over 5,000 attendees. These events allowed candidates to complete exams, interviews, and receive tentative job offers in one day…
