Emma Heming Willis Steps Out with Daughters Amidst Husband Bruce Willis’ Dementia Battle

Santa Monica, CA – Emma Heming Willis, wife of actor Bruce Willis, was recently seen running errands in Santa Monica with her two young daughters, Mabel Ray and Evelyn Penn. The outing comes as Bruce Willis continues his battle with frontotemporal dementia (FTD).

On Sunday, November 9, the 47-year-old advocate was photographed showcasing her casual autumn style, sporting baggy, dark-wash jeans, a relaxed white tee, and a light purple sweater tied around her neck. While her daughters appeared joyful, Heming Willis maintained a somewhat somber expression during the family excursion.

This public appearance follows a significant charity event held in Soho, New York City, where Heming Willis collaborated with Bruce Willis’ ex-wife, actress Demi Moore. The benefit concert was organized to raise awareness and support for the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration, a non-profit dedicated to assisting individuals affected by FTD.

The star-studded event drew numerous celebrities, including Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick, Michael J. Fox and Tracy Pollan, and Whoopi Goldberg. Musical legends Keith Richards, Norah Jones, Mavis Staples, and Warren Haynes also graced the stage, contributing their talents to the vital cause.

During the concert, Emma Heming Willis spoke movingly on behalf of her husband, who was diagnosed with FTD in 2023 and is currently under 24/7 care. “This is incredible, and I love what you guys are doing here at the Soho [Sessions] to be able to raise awareness for frontotemporal dementia,” she expressed.

“This is gonna bring all of Bruce’s friends and family together. So thank you for being here.

I honestly wish Bruce could be here, but he’s here in spirit.”

Heming Willis also shared her enthusiasm for the event, recalling her initial reaction: “I was like, ‘F–k yeah! Can we please have some fun?’

So, as Bruce would say, live it up. Let’s all continue to live it up and have fun.

We are here because of the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration. I wanna give a shout out to … the organization that has been an absolute lifeline for me and our family.”

Frontotemporal degeneration encompasses a group of progressive brain disorders that primarily impact the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain. Symptoms often include significant changes in behavior and personality, language difficulties, movement disorders, and cognitive decline. The Willis family has relocated Bruce to a separate residence with a dedicated full-time care team to ensure he receives constant support.
