Alabama’s Pastor Mike Jr. nominated for Grammy

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — A Birmingham pastor who has been making waves in the Christian music industry for years has been nominated for a Grammy Award.

Pastor Mike McClure Jr., founder of Rock City Church on Valleydale Road, was recently nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Gospel Performance/Song for the single “Amen,” featured on his latest EP “God Showing Out.”

The song, which was co-written by Adia Andrews, David Lamar Outing Jr. and Terrell Anthony Pettus, recently won five awards through the Stellar Gospel Music Awards, including Song of the Year. It is also nominated for a Dove Award and BET’s Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award…
