MSP: ‘Multiple crashes’ cause backup on US-131 in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Traffic stalled Sunday night on US-131 in Grand Rapids after a series of crashes, police say.

It happened Sunday night on US-131 northbound near 28th Street, according to Michigan State Police. “Multiple crashes” happened because of snowy weather, police said.

No one was seriously injured, MSP confirmed. The scene was cleared as of 11:35 p.m…
