GAINESVILLE, Fla. – As the United States Marine Corps celebrates its 250th birthday, Gainesville’s own Marine Staff Sergeant Thomas G. Scribner proudly represented North Central Florida at the official Marine Corps Birthday Ball in Philadelphia, where the Marine Corps was founded on November 10, 1775.
