HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Travelers flying out of Huntsville International Airport on Sunday faced uncertainty and frustration as federal flight reductions and the ongoing government shutdown disrupted air travel nationwide.
The Federal Aviation Administration last week made flight reductions mandatory, beginning with a 4% cut across 40 of the nation’s largest airports. While the changes have been at major hubs, the impact stretched far beyond those airports — including Huntsville.
