KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Knox Area Rescue Ministries (KARM) announced its new red flag policy is going into effect Monday night as temperatures tumble into the 20s.
KARM said the policy is designed to “protect the most vulnerable members of the community when weather or environmental conditions pose an immediate and life-threatening risk.”
It builds on the established white flag process for inclement weather and provides a structured plan of action when conditions escalate beyond dangerous to life-threatening, officials said…
