FDOT Seeks Local Input on Proposed Livingston FPL Trail Extension Connecting Rich King Memorial Greenway

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a public meeting about the Livingston Florida Power & Light (FPL) Trail Extension Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study. The project proposes a 12-foot-wide shared-use path. This path would run from Radio Road to the Collier County line in Collier County, Florida. The trail is part of the SUN Trail Priority Network. It aims to connect the existing Rich King Memorial Greenway with the planned SUN Trail network in Lee County.

The public meeting will be offered in two formats. The in-person meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at North Collier Regional Park in Naples, Florida, from 5 to 7 p.m. Attendees can watch an informational video and speak with the project team. An online meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 5 to 6 p.m. This session will include project materials and a question-and-answer period.

FDOT invites public input on the preliminary alternatives for the trail extension. Comments can be made at the meetings, on the project website, by email, or by mail. Comments must be received or postmarked by December 3, 2025, to be included in the official record. All feedback will be considered in the decision-making process…
