LIST: Cold weather shelters across Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa counties

Cold weather shelters are opening up across Northwest Florida as temperatures drop through Tuesday.

Because of the cold expected overnight, a Freeze Warning has been issued for our area from 6 p.m. Monday until 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Escambia County

Waterfront Rescue Mission on Herman Street opened its doors Sunday evening for cold weather sheltering operations and will remain open 24 hours a day during the severe cold weather.

The shelter will accommodate men and women without children. Waterfront will work with community partners to accommodate women with children seeking shelter. If no community partner is able to provide shelter, Waterfront will ensure that anyone seeking refuge from the cold will have a safe place to stay…
