Oakland Park is becoming known as a destination for dining, nightlife, and culture in South Florida. The city will host its Art Walk event on November 15, 2025. Oakland Park offers a range of amenities, walkable streets, and a community-focused atmosphere. Brittney Coates recently moved to Oakland Park from downtown Fort Lauderdale. She chose the area for its slower pace, walkability, and variety of local businesses. Coates lives at The Sky, a 136-unit building with ground-floor retail and a skybridge to a parking garage. The building will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on November 12, 2025, and also includes the new Oakland Park City Hall.
