‘They’re probably down on their weight, down on their nutrition’: VOC helps veterans with food insecurity with shelter and pantry

ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) – The Veterans Outreach Center helps vets in all aspects, one of which is food security — making sure they get a nutritious meal.

They do this in two ways — Richards House on South Ave in Rochester, which provides shelter and food for veterans, and their pantry feeds over 1,000 veterans every year. To get those nutritious items, the VOC partners with Tops, Foodlink, and the generosity of the community.
