On November 10, 2025, cold night shelters will open across St. Petersburg to provide safe and warm accommodations for people in need. The Homeless Leadership Alliance is working with local shelters to open these facilities when the National Weather Service forecasts a ‘feels like’ temperature below 40 degrees between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. Shelter locations include the Unitarian Universalist Church on Mirror Lake Drive and the Salvation Army on 4th Street South. Both are open from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) will offer free bus rides to and from the shelters from 5 p.m. Monday to 7 a.m. Tuesday. Riders should tell drivers they are going to a Cold Night Shelter. Families with children can access family shelters by calling First Contact…..
