DES MOINES, Iowa — No one was injured in a house fire on Des Moines’ south side that was reported late Monday morning.
Ahman Douglass of the Des Moines Fire Department said the call about the fire at 6901 SW 15th Street came in at 11:08 a.m. The fire was reported by an Amazon delivery driver.
Firefighters arrived on the scene just six minutes after the call and found the rear of the home fully engulfed in flames, said Douglass. The fire was contained quickly, but crews are still on scene to monitor for hotspots…
