Congress Street property that was to house retaurant sold to another buyer

A Congress Street house that got permission from the Lafayette City Council to house a restaurant has been sold to another buyer.

Michael Longanacre of Lafayette closed bought the 2,000-square-foot house at 903 Myrtle Place in a deal that closed two weeks ago, Elifin Realty reported. Longanacre said he plans to eventually open a bed and breakfast there.

The owners of the Five Mile Eatery will not move into the space as initially planned…
