Nonprofit organizations stepping in to help homeless veterans in Wisconsin

MILWAUKEE — After the closure of state-run facilities in Chippewa Falls and Green Bay, local nonprofits are working to fill service gaps for veterans struggling with homelessness.

Steve Woodland, a U.S. Navy veteran from Oshkosh, said he needed help getting back on his feet after multiple surgeries.
