SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – A Cohoes man is accused of robbing a Stewart’s Shops in Saratoga Springs and threatening police with a knife.
It happened around 3 p.m. on Friday at the convenience store on Church Street. Police said a store employee told officers that a person had forcibly stolen cigarettes from behind the counter. They identified the man, 45-year-old Craig Valcik, and police tried to arrest him.
Valcik allegedly took a knife from his pocket and began threatening officers. He eventually dropped the knife and was taken into custody, police said…
