Shafter City Council member files complaint against another councilmember for alleged violations of city charter

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Shafter City Council is set to hold a special meeting on Monday to consider an agreement for an administrative hearing officer after a councilmember filed a complaint regarding another member for alleged violations of the city charter.

On Sept. 18, Councilmember Pete Espinoza filed a complaint against Councilmember Gilbert Alvarado, according to the meeting agenda.

The agenda said the complaint was related to “certain findings” in the Kern County Grand Jury Report issued June 17.
