Phoenix man suspected of killing wife on Halloween taken from hospital to jail

PHOENIX – A Phoenix man suspected of killing his wife on Halloween was released from the hospital and taken to jail on Sunday, authorities said.

David Pregler, 55, was booked for second-degree murder, prohibited weapons possession and probation violations, according to Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office jail records. His bond was set at $1 million.

Pregler had been hospitalized since he and his wife, 50-year-old Shonda Lynn Pregler, were found with gunshot wounds on Oct. 31 after what the Phoenix Police Department called a domestic dispute…
