FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Usually we’re not having to worry too much about lake effect snow until early or mid December at the earliest, but this year is playing by different rules!
One final burst of lake effect snow is likely this evening and overnight, primarily northwest and west of Fort Wayne (see snow map below). Accumulations will generally exceed 2″ in these areas, but an inch or two (likely even less in the areas shaded in gray) expected everywhere else. Due to slick roads tonight, and slowdowns Tuesday morning, our First Alert Weather Day will extend through 9 am Tuesday.
The rest of the day Tuesday looks fairly quiet with mostly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 30s.
Wind and mostly sunny skies will be the main story Wednesday and Thursday with highs rising from the mid 40s midday Wednesday to low 50s midday Thursday…
