BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Tonight’s cold temperatures could lead to frozen pipes, according to plumbing experts.
They say there are steps you can take now to make sure you don’t have a problem in your home. The No. 1 thing is to keep your home warm. If you turn up the thermostat, make sure your doors and windows stay closed to keep the heat inside.
Outside the home, make sure you cover any exposed pipes. That can be done with items you likely already have around the house.
