GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Millions across the country are facing frustration after benefit cuts amid the government shutdown. Here in Grand Rapids, one woman said her SNAP benefits stopped working on the Meijer app last Friday — and she’s worried it’s all connected.
“I’ve been frustrated because I haven’t been able to use any of it” said Lucinda Branch.
She said she was beyond frustrated when she opened the Meijer app to order groceries last Friday, thinking it would be business as usual. Instead, her EBT card—which she relies on to access her SNAP benefits—stopped working…
