Yesterday, a little after 3 pm, Novato Police Officers responded to an organized retail theft that had just occurred at the LensCrafters in the Vintage Oaks shopping center. The 4 suspects fled in a black Dodge Charger with no license plates. A county-wide be on the lookout (BOLO) was quickly broadcast.
About 20 minutes later, a CHP officer saw the suspect vehicle traveling south on Highway 101. The CHP officer stopped the vehicle near Freitas Parkway. The subjects inside the Charger, 3 men and a teen boy, wore clothing that matched the surveillance video obtained from LensCrafters. A one-year-old girl was also a passenger in the car.
