PETALUMA, CA — “On November 9, 2025, at approximately 12:01 a.m., Petaluma Police officers responded to a single-vehicle collision at the intersection of Washington Street and Lakeville Street. Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle that had collided with the railroad crossing arms.
The driver and sole occupant, a 17-year-old male, was determined to have been involved in a petty theft from a local convenience store just prior to the crash. The investigation also revealed the juvenile had been driving under the influence of alcohol.
As a result of the collision the juvenile received minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation. The juvenile was subsequently cited for petty theft and for driving with a blood alcohol concentration between .01% and .05%. He was released to his parents on a notice to appear in court…
