Today will be the coldest day of the work week, gradual warm-up follows

Winter is here. No, not officially as the winter solstice isn’t scheduled to occur until December 21st. However, mother nature is providing us with a taste of what is to come with the recent snowfall and this bitterly cold batch of Arctic air.

Temperatures prior to this morning’s commute are sitting in the low to mid 20s. Though factoring in this morning’s rather cold northwesterly wind is leaving most Stateline locales with wind chill values in the low to mid teens. Bundle up!

This rather cold breeze is expected stick around for the entirety of our Monday, severely limiting our effectiveness to warm up. This will leave afternoon highs well-below average compared to early-November standards, in the upper 30s.

Moisture increases overnight, turning Stateline skies mostly cloudy into Tuesday. Despite the cloud cover, temperatures will still end up chilly, landing in the low to possibly mid 20s…
