Freeze warning puts Tulsa’s unhoused at risk; shelters seek donations for winter aid

TULSA, OKLA. (KTUL) — As a freeze warning grips the entire state, the unhoused community in Tulsa faces heightened risks.

Nolan Jones, a stabilization case manager with the Street Outreach Team at the Tulsa Day Center, emphasized the organization’s efforts to support those without shelter.

“We had a team on the ground last night from seven to about 10 o’clock. We’re going to have another team on the ground tonight, just trying to get blankets, socks, gloves, hats, whatever we can into people’s hands,” Jones said…
