Council names three finalists for Wichita city manager

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Wichita City Council on Monday announced three finalists for the city manager position.

Eighty-nine people applied for the position, according to the city, and the council worked with a search committee and a search firm to narrow the field.

One of the finalists, Donte Martin, is already a familiar face at City Hall. He has served as assistant city manager since 2017, and was previously a court administrator and interim superintendent of the Office of Central Inspection.

He received a bachelor’s degree from Wichita State University and a master’s from Fort Hays State University…
