A six-member team at a Dollar General allegedly walked off en masse last week, citing poor working conditions and stolen time.
“We want to sincerely apologize for the impact our situation may have had on you,” America Tillman, a former assistant manager, said in a post signed by all six members last Thursday on the Middleburgh, NY Facebook page. “After years of mistreatment and difficult working conditions, the team at Dollar General Store #16215 in Esperance has made the hard decision to part ways with Dollar General.”
Tillman told the Times Union the team had not quit, but walked out Thursday in protest of conditions at the Route 30 store, located just across the Schoharie Creek from the village of Esperance in the town of Duanesburg. She said she has since been fired and her store manager was fired the night before the walkout…
