The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a shooting that resulted in a death on November 8, 2025, in the 3300 block of 14th Place, Southeast, Washington, DC. Officers responded to reports of gunfire at about 8:33 p.m. They found 22-year-old Jayla Vaden with multiple gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
