Local Eateries Roll Out Red Carpet for Veterans This November 11th!

This Veterans Day, November 11th, local restaurants and cafes are stepping up to show their appreciation for our incredible veterans and active service members. From free meals to tempting buy-one-get-one-free offers, there are plenty of delicious ways to honor those who have served.

Remember, most of these fantastic deals require military identification, so be sure to have it handy!

Here’s a look at some of the notable spots offering specials for America’s heroes:

Applebee’s is celebrating its 18th consecutive year of Veterans Day deals by offering a free entree from a special limited menu. This offer is for dine-in customers only, available all day.

At Buffalo Wild Wings, past and present military members can score 10 free boneless wings and a regular order of fries. This offer is valid for dine-in, but if you’re hitting up a Buffalo Wild Wings Go location, you can grab it for walk-in orders too.

California Pizza Kitchen is treating veterans and active duty military to a complimentary beverage (Coca-Cola fountain drinks, iced tea, or passion fruit mango unsweetened iced tea) and an entree from a select menu. Choose from full-size salads like the Original BBQ Chicken Chopped Salad, various pizzas including the Hawaiian, or pastas such as the Garlic Cream Fettucine with Chicken.

Chili’s is serving up a free meal and non-alcoholic drink from a limited menu for dine-in customers at all participating locations.

From 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Chipotle Mexican Grill is offering a buy-one-get-one-free deal on entrees of equal or lesser value. “Their courage and commitment inspire us every day, and we’re honored to serve those who serve our country,” said Chris Brandt, Chipotle’s president and chief brand officer.

Craving comfort food? Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is offering a complimentary Sunrise Pancake Special all day long for dine-in customers. This sweet and savory deal includes two buttermilk pancakes and your choice of eggs or a breakfast meat.

Denny’s is also dishing out breakfast, with their Original Grand Slam available for free to veterans and active duty military from 5 a.m. until noon. Get ready for two buttermilk pancakes, two strips of bacon, two sausage links, and two eggs made to order.

For a hearty dinner, Golden Corral is hosting its 25th annual Military Appreciation Night, welcoming veterans, current service members, and National Guard members for a free buffet dinner from 4 p.m. until closing.

If you’re on the go, Hy-Vee has you covered with a free buffet-style breakfast from 6-10 a.m. for all veterans and active duty military. Plus, active and retired military can enjoy a 15% discount on their grocery purchases.

IHOP is celebrating with their patriotic Red, White and Blueberry Pancake Combo, free for veterans from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at participating locations. This includes two eggs, hash browns, and your choice of bacon or sausage links.

For a sweet treat, Krispy Kreme is giving away a free small hot or iced coffee and your choice of doughnut, available both inside and at the drive-thru.

Outback Steakhouse is offering a free Aussie 3-Course meal to all current and former military members. This includes a soup or salad, a select entree, and a New York-Style cheesecake for dessert.

Swing by Shake Shack for a free Big Shack burger, featuring two quarter-pound beef patties, Shake Shack’s secret sauce, and all the fixings, on three buttered and toasted potato buns. This deal is valid at participating locations, excluding those in airports, stadiums, and other special venues.

Need a coffee break? Starbucks is offering a free tall (12-ounce) hot or iced coffee to veterans, military service members, and their spouses at participating locations nationwide. Please note, Cold Brew, Nitro, and beverage customizations are excluded.

Red Robin is serving up a free Red’s Big Tavern Burger, complete with bottomless steak fries, all day long for dine-in veterans and active duty service members.

And Whataburger is going above and beyond! Not only are they giving away a free Taquito to current and retired military during breakfast hours on Veterans Day, but they’re also offering a free Taquito every Tuesday through the end of the year. Plus, they’ll continue to honor veterans year-round with a free 16-ounce hot or iced coffee.
