Food bank ramps up as hunger skyrockets amid SNAP limbo

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – With at least partial SNAP payments on the way, there’s relief in sight for CSRA families, but Golden Harvest Food Bank remains ready to help.

The federal shutdown over a spending impasse in Congress has held the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program in limbo.

With 1 in 8 people relying on SNAP, millions of people in Georgia and South Carolina face hunger. Help is out there.
